LMS or TMS? The practical difference that matters
Two terms that blur together in marketing — here is the working distinction before you buy the wrong system.
LMS: learning management
Focused on content and the learner: courses, lessons, assessments, progress tracking, certificates. Right when e-learning itself is what you deliver.
TMS: training management
Focused on the training operation: scheduling, trainers, venues, registrations, invoicing, operational reporting. Right for centers with heavy logistics.
Where School Screen stands
Today the platform is a strong LMS: content, assessments, attendance, certificates, analytics, and admission inquiries. Deeper operational aspects — venue scheduling, invoicing — are being built incrementally, and we say so plainly.
The practical rule
If your product is “learning”, start with an LMS. If it is “training operations” with complex scheduling and billing, you need a TMS — or both integrated.
